Step into the kitchen with Chef Sonia for a heartfelt, hands-on journey into the soul of Salvadoran cooking.
In this class, you'll learn to make authentic pupusas—El Salvador’s beloved stuffed corn cakes—completely from scratch. We’ll walk you through selecting fillings like cheese, beans, chicharrón, and even a seafood twist, then show you the technique to shape and griddle them to perfection.
No pupusa is complete without curtido, the traditional pickled cabbage slaw, and you’ll make that too—alongside a simple tomato salsa to round out the plate.
Once the cooking is done, we’ll sit down and enjoy the fruits of our labor together, Salvadoran-style. Expect laughter, a shared meal, and a deeper appreciation for this humble but powerful comfort food.
